In this project, students crosscut the subjects of Language Arts, Science, and Art as they write and illustrate their own story of how they discovered the center of the Earth. This can be completed as a research project or after a unit on inside Earth. I have completed it in my science class and even though there is only a 1 page minimum, 6th graders have wrote 3 to 4 pages filled with descriptions of what they see and do.
