This is the spelling lists from benchmarks advance curriculum. It is organized by units and weeks. Two list per page to save paper and in black and white! Benchmark is new curriculum for CA. If any change are made to the lists, let me know and I will make changes. Please email if you notice any errors as well! I have lower case in my store as well! ENjOy!

This is a template for STEAM, STEM or Makerspace activities. It has a spot for blueprints, materials, and a picture of their final creation.

These are the essential questions for the new curriculum for benchmark advance. They pair with the units and are posters to hang for the three week units. You can add to to a focus wall. They are limited with color for black and white purpose and saving ink!

Writing lines to stretch a simple sentence.

Students must identify whether a shape is in equal shares or unequal shares. They also must identify if the shape is in two equal shares or four equal shares by coloring it a specific color

Graphic organizer to help students organize informational or opinion piece.

I put these on my folders for students who don't have time to finish work. They can stick it inside their "under construction" or unfinished folder.

Build Mr. Potato head every time the class does something great: works together, gets a compliment, great for a sub.. I do fun Fridays! Can reward however :)

WRiting with pronouns Direct Instruction format. I do, We do, They do. Objective: I can create silly sentences using prounouns in my writing. DOne with sentence strips and steps for independent practice and skill at the end.

Introduces character trait power points using external and internal descriptions. Describes the character Mean Jean from Recess Queen!

Students use magnifying glasses to observe and record details of their seashells. Then they use words to describe their findings.

Kindness pledge. Can be used for reciting during morning routines..

Uses pokeballs and clipart to keep students engaged. Teaches them to understand the meaning of the equal sign and how to balance each equations. Uses steps at the end to build using ten frames on each side. Indp practice mats included.

A benchmark advance annotation poster with the symbols and what they mean for FIRST GRADE. Can be used with any grade level BUT matches symbols used in first grade benchmark advance. I blew up to a larger size. Can be used as a handout or poster.
