Go on a road trip across Canada with your class. Students can do presentations on each of the provinces/territories and then have the rest of the class complete the passport booklet as they go along. Add stamps for the provinces they go to and you're done! File is ready to print in booklet format (may not appear that way in preview for some reason). Comes as a word document so you can easily edit.

Appropriate for grade 4 number patterns.

Present three different 3D shapes (e.g. triangular prism, square-based pyramid, hexagonal based prism) to students and have them identify properties (e.g. edges, faces, vertices) relating to each shape. Good one on one assessment tool.

Open this PowerPoint document and print off as a 6 per page handout. Mix them up and have students make piles of equivalent fractions!

Boggle board. Give students a set of random letters (8-16 of them, preferably) and have them mix and match to create words.

Students can use this to self-assess themselves in the 6 learning skills (Ontario). Edit the document as needed (word document). Print on legal size paper.

Have students fill out this worksheet as a pre-assessment tool prior to the start of your number patterns unit.
