The One and Only Ivan Daily Slides - Vocabulary and Comprehension Questions!
This is the main piece of the One and Only Ivan novel study. These are daily slides that cover vocabulary and comprehension questions. I created this in order to boost my students' reading comprehension and get them excited about reading. It not only worked but it brought the class's comprehension scores up a LOT! I was amazed. Ivan Reading Grid/Graphic Organizer Set-Up
I created this reading grid set up to make it easier for students to organize their notes and initiate a deeper comprehension of the novel. I have found that students are able to easily understand the concept of main details, vocabulary, and responding to comprehension questions when guided by this format. I hope it works for you as well as it has for me!

My teaching style is dynamic and student-centered. I believe in creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and motivated to learn. I incorporate a variety of instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning styles, including hands-on activities, technology integration, and collaborative projects. My goal is to inspire critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning in all my students.
