This product is meant for littles who may not quite get the idea of what a cell is but you are wanting to make this a familiar concept so it's easier to grasp later on. I suggest laminating the pages and cutting out the smaller shapes. With my kiddos, I like to use the dollar tree modeling clay to stick the shapes onto the membrane rather than using velcro since there would be pre-placed velcro backing and I like to make my little ones think about what they are doing a little more. This would be
Includes 36 weeks of read alouds, YouTube videos, craft/activity ideas, and simple memory verses. These are intended to engage elementary level students.
Laminate the pages and then cut out the pieces on the second page. Give your little one some modeling clay from Dollar Tree to help it stick to the Cell Membrane. This is good activity for busy time or for a toddler activity binder. Good with Classical Conversations Cycle 1 Science
This is a schedule with extra resources to study along with Cycle 1 from Classical Conversations. I have also included corresponding American Heritage Girls Badges. You may need to add to this list depending on what unit your daughter is in. My daughter is a Tenderheart, so I have added resources corresponding to those requirements.
Print on Cardstock and laminate. You can put a sticky backing to go on another laminated document to keep the pieces from sliding around or you can just let them arrange on the table.
Print on card stock and laminate, then cut into cards. Play, play, play. Kids love to play games and this is a great way to get them memorizing all major groups of vertebrates and invertebrates. As you play, add the rule that they have to tell you if their card is an invertebrate or a vertebrate. If they get it wrong, they miss their turn! So. Much. Fun!
This activity will meet most of the requirements to earn the Tenderheart Zoology Badge. This will overlap with some of the information learned in the first few weeks of science and the classifications of living things for CC Cycle 1. This is a great badge to earn in conjunction with Cycle 1 to expand on the information presented in science in order for your child to grasp a greater understanding.
Print, laminate, and cut out pieces on second page. Give your little one some dollar tree modeling clay or use cut pieces of velcro to stick to the main page. This is a cute little activity that your child can enjoy each day to help them learn and understand some of the parts of a plant.
This is a sorting activity to help little minds understand what they're memorizing and help them with the memorization process. Print, laminate, and cut the pictures out. Use putty or dollar tree modeling clay to stick onto the chart so they're not sliding around. This will be fun for younger ones and beneficial for any kids learning about the Kingdoms.
Only pictures to help your little one remember their weekly memory work. This is also a great resource for non-readers because it helps them develop a picture in their mind so they understand what they are memorizing. If you have any questions about what is what, please feel free to contact me. The set of circles beginning with the name tag is for Latin Noun Cases (name tag: nominative, genie: genitive, man with data chart: dative, pointing fingers: accusative, and abstract art: ablative).
This resource is intended to be a visual reminder for the weekly memory work to help kids remember the information. Hopefully this resource will help the younger kiddos who are not yet reading but may also be used as a way to quiz the older ones.
Print and laminate, cut out images, and have your little one sort them and stick in the appropriate category either using velcro backing or dollar tree modeling clay.
School at Home Quick Planner! This will help you arrange your thoughts easily so you can put all those ideas into action and make the most out of your time at home during this CRAZY season of life.
I made these to print for a visual aid for the Joining Award Workshop. I needed an easy for little eyes to read font, so I created this. I'm hoping y'all will find it useful for your needs as well. Love y'all, fellow AHG sisters!!
