Teaching style

I believe learning should be interactive and enjoyable, so I focus on hands-on activities and real-world examples that make concepts stick. I adapt lessons to meet different learning needs and encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every student.

Awards & shining teacher moments

While I’m still building my formal teaching career, I’m proud of the positive impact I’ve had on students’ learning and confidence. One of my favorite moments was seeing a struggling student finally “get it” after trying a new hands-on activity I designed. I’m excited to keep growing as an educator and creating resources that make a difference!

My own education history

Multidisciplinary educator with experience in K–12 instruction, STEM enrichment, and curriculum design. Background spans aviation, educational leadership, and fintech literacy. Skilled at translating emerging topics—like robotics, space science, and digital finance—into accessible, engaging lessons for students. Currently completing a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Social Studies and STEM integration.

Additional biographical information

I’m a licensed pilot and former air traffic controller with a Master’s in Aviation Education. I’ve homeschooled three amazing kids through fifth grade and spent time teaching 5th grade as a long-term substitute. I love creating hands-on lessons that make learning fun and meaningful. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me dancing (German folk or Latin beats), working on leather projects, or tackling DIY home improvements.
