Experience

Nova Science Lab was created to help students truly understand science — not just memorize it. Every resource is designed with clarity, structure, and conceptual understanding in mind. My goal is to provide practical, classroom-ready materials that support real thinking, meaningful discussion, and long-term retention. My classroom experience has focused on: • Earth and Space Science • Conceptual physics foundations • Scientific reasoning and CER writing • Data interpretation and graphing I design resources that reflect real classroom needs — from daily warm-ups to structured concept development.

Teaching style

My teaching style centers on: • Conceptual understanding over memorization • Addressing common misconceptions directly • Clear visual modeling • Structured reasoning and explanation • Student-friendly language without oversimplifying content I believe students learn science best when they understand the why behind what they observe.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my proudest moments as a teacher have come from watching students shift from confusion to confidence — especially in topics they initially found difficult, like moon phases, gravity, or scientific writing. I am most proud when students can: • Explain a concept in their own words • Use evidence to support a claim • Correct a misconception with confidence • See science as something logical and understandable Helping students realize that science makes sense is always the biggest win.

My own education history

I hold a Master’s degree in Science Education with a focus on middle school instruction. My training emphasized: • Inquiry-based learning • NGSS-aligned instruction • Conceptual modeling • Scientific literacy • Assessment design This background directly informs the structure and clarity of my resources.

Additional biographical information

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy developing curriculum materials that help make complex ideas accessible and engaging. Nova Science Lab was created to share thoughtfully designed resources with teachers who value clarity, structure, and meaningful science learning. Thank you for visiting — I hope these materials support your classroom and your students.
