What student doesn’t like to use manipulatives to build? In this unit, students will use a variety of manipulatives to compare objects by length. I love to visit the dollar tree and purchase tool boxes for the math manipulatives. The students measure with unifix cubes, paper clips, bears, counters and pennies to determine which object is longer. In the second activity, students are measuring how long an object is, by using links, pennies, counters unifix cubes and bears.
