Product of Powers Exponent Rules - Around the Room Practice
Students will complete 24 task cards on simplifying products with similar bases and exponents. Cards can be placed around the room for a walk-around activity. Each answer is self-checking and reveals part of an inspirational quote when completed correctly.

Dilation Stations and Recording Sheet
Enjoy this LOW PREP activity for students to review all things dilations on the coordinate plane. Each of the 7 statiaoans enrich students' understanding of dilation concepts. Print stations on colored paper, plus a recording sheet for each student, and let them explore. Average time for my students was about 30 minutes.

Teaching style
I like to engage my students with work they will find to be exciting and fun. Not all students will enjoy all content, but if at least get them up out of their seats and moving around while answering questions, I know I've got their brains powered on.
I'm lucky to have middle school math students every day for 84 minutes a day. I can teach, practice, reinforce, and review all in one period. My materials are usually a little longer in length because I have the time to play around with.
