Students place the endings and stems of the irregular preterite past tense on a template of a daisy like flower. I have used this as a aural comprehension and physical response drill in 3 steps: 1) students (if words are new) cut out the squares of paper and arrange them on the desk with the words facing up. As I call out each chore, everyone finds the printed word and picks it up, holds it up and shows me, (you can say it again and have students repeat the word, but it's also fine to make this an auditory-response-only drill) Often we will then repeat the drill at a quicker pace. 2) Students arrang
