The goal of the game is to either sum or times (multiply) the two numbers correctly. A correct sum is worth 1 point and a correct product is worth 3 points. Three correct answers in a row are worth 5 points. This is intended to balance the students with solid addition but shaky multiplication skills with those who are more fluent with their multiplication facts. It's very open to making your own rules about scoring or game play. Games make math real for some students.
This is not the usual Race to 100/a dollar.
