Experience

With over 15 years of experience in education, I enjoyed teaching self contained classrooms and the math/science elements of a departmentalized program. My passion and willingness to explore new teaching strategies led me to become a district math professional. Teaching style

Hands on learning is fundamental to developing new skills. From there I feel that carefully monitored practice is key to mastering any concept. While we certainly learn from our mistakes, students need continuous feedback to prevent the practicing of wrong methods. Perfect practice makes perfect :)

My own education history

I have an undergrad degree in elementary education with a concentration in mathematics from Barat College in Lake Forest, Illinois. I have earned my masters degree in education from the University of Texas at Arlington.
