Teaching style
I am a constructivist, so I believe in helping my students build their own knowledge rather than my simply lecturing to them. We know that if students work to make their own understanding by working with tools such as graphic organizers, active listening tools, and other resources, then they can successfully work through complex texts and units-- and then they will retain that information better!
