First Grade Rubric for Fluency Practice
By the end of the first grade year students need to be reading at an fluency rate of 60 words per minute. This is an excel worksheet to figure reading fluency for a first grade class. It is used to show progress throughout the year. Forty percent of the grade is fluency and sixty percent is word accuracy with fluency progressing throughout the year.
