This activity is a fun way to practice letters! There are 3 sections to each page: MAKE IT, TRACE IT, FIND IT. We typically use stickers to “make” the letters but you could also use small manipulatives! You could even use this activity in a Dry Erase Pocket so your students could do it over and over again!

In the story, The Colors of Us, Lena and her mom walk through their neighborhood and discuss all the different shades of brown they find in their neighbors. When they get home Lena mixes red, yellow, black, and white paints to make all the different colors of her neighbors. With this activity, you will be mixing those same colors (plus brown) to make lots of different people colors! You can randomly add different portions of paint or have your students use dice to count how many portions to add.

This activity is for practicing number recognition, counting, and subitizing. The first page has numbers 1-6 and the second page has a grid of dice numbers. Another way to use this activity would be to have your students roll a dice, see what number they rolled, and glue that number to the first page.

I love having my class trace things with Pushpins. It’s a great way to work on their pencil grip as well as letter, number, name, or shape formation! This freebie is for Name Tracing! You can type a child’s name and it will appear as a dotted font with arrows to show how to make each letter. This set combines Letter Formation with a Hand Strengthening Activity! Each page has 2 of the same uppercase letter on it, and each letter has dots on them. You will need to cut out each letter and then your students will use a single hole punch to “trace” each letter.
