Daily Notes to Parents- Smiley Faces
This is a great way to communicate to your parents how their child performed in school that day. You can customize the left column to fit with your daily schedule. I find that it helps to have my students take part in monitoring their behavior (I'll ask, "Did your behavior earn you a happy face or sad face?"). This is a great resource for children with special needs to have them become aware of their behavior.

My own education history
I attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. I graduated with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies in 2006. I continued my graduate studies at James Madison University, and graduated with a M.Ed. in Special Education in 2007.
Additional biographical information
I currently teach in a Transition from School to Work (TSW) program at a public high school in the Phoenix-metro area.
