This will be my fourth year teaching at the primary level. I have taught Kindergarten for three years and am moving to a combo class next year. In all my years, I have found that students reach their best character, behavior and community potential when there are high expectations in the classroom.

Word Work Journal Cover

Journal Covers! Print this page and glue it on your students' interactive word work notebooks. Great for Daily 5! It will fit a college ruled or wide ruled spiral notebook. The label is black and white so students can color the front and make it their own. In my classroom, I use this cover with my Math Work Cover on opposite sides of the spiral so the students only have one notebook but with two purposes. Guided Reading Handout

This handout is for Primary teachers who are explaining how guided reading works to parents. This is for teachers who send a book home every day and expect parents to read with their children and send it back. If you would like the editable version of this (maybe you only send books home Monday- Wednesday or you want them to sign something), email me and I will send it to you.

About the store

Experience

This will be my fourth year teaching at the primary level. I have taught Kindergarten for three years and am moving to a combo class next year. In all my years, I have found that students reach their best character, behavior and community potential when there are high expectations in the classroom.

Teaching style

I run a very independent classroom with high expectations even at the young age. Students know their boundaries for behavior but also understand there are no boundaries when it comes to the learning component. Students understand how to work independently, work in pairs, work in centers and respect each other and their teacher. With this type of community, students build more confidence in their learning, strong friendships, and feel open to being unique and accepted.
