About the store
I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a licensed teacher with multiple endorsements in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Students with Disabilities (Grades 1–6). I have worked in education since 2015, beginning my career as an early education special education paraprofessional for a non-profit. Throughout my career, I have served as a self-contained special education teacher, case manager, teacher mentor, program advisor, and instructional leader, gaining extensive experience supporting students with high needs. Most recently, I have been working as a behavior specialist supporting multiple schools and providing targeted interventions for academic and behavioral growth. All of my work has focused on high-risk students, with the majority of my experience supporting low-income families, minority students, and children who have experienced multiple forms of trauma. My expertise combines evidence-based behavior analysis, differentiated instruction, and trauma-informed practices to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Accommodations, Modifications, and Supports Infographic

Removing Barriers for Exceptional Learners Infographic about modifications, supports, and accommodations. The infographic defines the difference, gives examples of each, and suggestions of which IDEA disability category may be best supported. This is an amazing tool to support special education teachers, general education teachers, and other school personnel in IEPs, 504s, and planning for students.

Additional biographical information

I believe every child deserves a high-quality education, regardless of ability, race, ethnicity, or income. I am passionate about equitable practices, data-driven decision making, and research-based interventions that help all students thrive. My work is guided by these three principles: Progress over perfection “If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.” – Ignacio Estrada “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” – Frederick Douglass
