Experience

Thank you for visiting my TPT store! I am currently an 8th grade science teacher in the middle of Iowa and I have been making my own resources for the last 8 years! Prior to teaching, I was a geologist in Alaska working with groundwater contamination. I love science and teaching, and hope to share my passion with everyone!

Teaching style

Teaching middle schoolers is a huge challenge that I absolutely love. My teaching style is hands-on, phenomena-based lessons where students are challenged to explore where the phenomenon takes them.

My own education history

I started my post-secondary education studying Interior Design at Texas Tech University (Wreck 'Em Tech!), but then I transferred to University of Alaska Fairbanks where I studied Earth Science. I eventually made my way to Iowa where I graduated from Drake University with my Master's of Science in Education.
