About the store
I have taught for twelve years in the elementary setting. With a brief hiatus to have children, I returned 6 years ago to a fast-paced, technology relevant classroom and have been learning and growing right along with my students. Currently, I teach Second Grade, and that has consumed most of my teaching experience. I love this age level and their love for learning.

Good-Bye, Curtis Web Quest

This web quest is a great resource for your students to see the real-life side of a mail carrier. Task 1: Use a graphic organizer to sequence what happens to a piece of mail. Task 2: Watch a video about how much mail is delivered every day. Task 3: Watch a video and answer questions about the daily routine of a mail carrier. Students can work on this activity independently or with a partner. If you have never done web quests with your students, you might want to project it on your big screen

About the store

Experience

I have taught for twelve years in the elementary setting. With a brief hiatus to have children, I returned 6 years ago to a fast-paced, technology relevant classroom and have been learning and growing right along with my students. Currently, I teach Second Grade, and that has consumed most of my teaching experience. I love this age level and their love for learning.

Teaching style

I offer a balance between teacher and student directed learning. I tend to naturally differentiate because that is how I learn myself. I like to help my students understand relevant connections between what they learn in school and the outside world. I am constantly changing the way I tech units...they are not the same from year to year. I believe in spontaneity and flexibility with structure.
