About the store
I'm a master student in Data Science, fascineted by Math, Algebra and Statiscs. I have been always eager to help colleagues and private students of mine achieve a better understanding of math, its meaning and visualization. I have private students until today, and with them I can keep my teaching abilities always sharp.

Calculus handout: The must-know - Integrals

Created by
Rick's store
In this handout I summarize all definitions, rules and techniques for understanding and calculating Integrals. I go through the motivation for it, the concepts and basic definitions, important identities and theorems. Also, during all the handout, I try to develop the intuition using graphs and actual examples. Throughout all the document, I solve several examples. The content is organized as follows: 1. Indefinite Integral (Primitives) 2. Integral properties 3. Primitivating techniques - 3.1 Su

Solution STEP BY STEP of the AP CALCULUS AB 2019. All questions, manipulations and conclusion are justified and well detailed. The idea is to help students understanding the exam, how it works, how a desirable solution would look like and also to help them understand calculus with advanced exercises. In this handout I summarize all definitions, rules and techniques for understanding and calculating Limits. I go through the motivation for limits, the concepts and basic definitions, important identities, theorems and corollaries. Also, during all the handout, I try to develop the intuition using graphs and actual examples. At the end, I solve some very complicated limits. The content is organized as follows: 1. Symmetric intervals 2. Functions - a brief explanation - 2.1. Operations with func

List of 10 derivatives for practice on derivation. All derivatives answer are given in the file. The are spaces for the answers. This list can be a good practice to students that already know the basic rules for derivations and that are now starting to practice the product/quotient rules on functions that are combinations of several others.

In this file we talk about some main definitions related to functions: - A basic definition - Domain and codomain - Surjectivity - Injectivity Simple examples and illustrations are used in order to clarify the concepts. I hope this file can help you introduce these theoretical concepts to your students in a more intuitive way.

Linear Regression - Maximum likelihood perspective

Created by
Rick's store
In this handout, I demonstrate the general solution for estimating parameters of a linear regression using vectorial notation (the pseudo-inverse equation). I develop the reasoning from the point of view of the Maximum likelihood estimation. The purpose here is to help students see the link between the formal/general solution of a linear regression and how, in reality, it is a "fit to the data".

Experience

I'm a master student in Data Science, fascineted by Math, Algebra and Statiscs. I have been always eager to help colleagues and private students of mine achieve a better understanding of math, its meaning and visualization. I have private students until today, and with them I can keep my teaching abilities always sharp.

Teaching style

I like teaching all details, with concrete examples and showing why notation aspects and formulas make meaning. I don't like just giving a formula and call it done. I want the student to develop the intuition of why that is true and why that is meaningful, because I believe this way the student is really going to LEARN!

My own education history

- Master degree in Data Science by École Centrale de Nantes in France (Double degree program). - Electrical engineering by Universit of São Paulo - Brazil
