Use these comprehension questions to check for understanding or assess comprehension of the book "Why Do Leaves Change Color?" by Betsy Maestro.

Students use a family tree to fill in the blanks with the correct family relationships. They also tell how different people in the family are related to one another. Then they answer simple questions about themselves and their families. Students are not required to answer in complete sentences on this assignment.

Students describe their families using ser, tener, and descriptive adjectives. Students show their families and write 5 sentences each for 9 family members.
