EXPLORER'S Trading Cards will make a great addition to your social studies curriculum. These trading cards are a great way to increase ENGAGEMENT throughout your social studies curriculum. Explorer Trading Cards is a new innovative way to allow students to research and learn about historical explores. My Mother and I implemented this lesson in our Social Studies curriculum and the students loved it! Other teachers asked for the template and this idea was soon implemented across the grade level.

As a teacher I know how important small group reading groups are to the reading curriculum. In my class I implement Beverly Tyner small group instruction which has been proven very effective. If you don't know anything about Tyner I highly recommend looking into it especially for the younger primary grades (k-2). Tyner small groups require an extension to each small group lesson. This extension is for the students to do individually at their desk. Tyner has a few in her book that she recommend

My own education history

I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2010 with a BS in Physical Education. I later discovered that I enjoy being in a general education classroom more and worked towards getting certified in K-6 General Education as well as K-12 Physical Education.
