Insect Activity/ Internet Assignment
This insect activity is a great lesson on the insects in your area. It includes observations and research, writing, and drawing. It allows the students to get to know more about the insects in their communities. This is a good lesson for 4th/5th or 6th graders. This is a great end-of-the-year activity. Use of the internet is necessary for research on the insects that are chosen.

Additional biographical information
I was a science teacher for 8 years and a substitute teacher for 7 years. I love teaching students and using technology to do so. I also enjoy hands-on activities and labs. Because I was a teacher of many different science subjects, I occasionally needed good online activities that reinforced learning that were not too difficult. These products are great for when you have to be gone and have a sub in your classroom or you need a quick fill-in activity to supplement your lessons.
I taught Anatomy/Physiology, Biology, Biology II, Earth Science, Astronomy, Introduction to Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Zoology, Physical Science and Ecology during my 8 years as a full-time teacher.
