Remake of the classic hands on lab, where students experiment with several tool a time themselves on picking up items. Students can readily see how adaptations that are best suite for the environment stay in the population and are passed down to future generations. Students graph and interpret class data and answer conclusion questions. This is a follow up to Evolution Made Simple PowerPoint. Great for middle or high school. Can be modified easily to fit your needs.
This PowerPoint is a great review for the state end of course test. It is made for Georgia, but will work with almost any state curriculum. It is very thorough and goes well with my Biology EOCT Study Guide. Assign the study guide questions for homework and go over this colorful review during the day. Spend a week on this before the exam and your students should do just fine! Field tested for many years! It works!

This covers DNA, RNA structure and function, history, replication, protein synthesis, mutations, DNA technology. Find out if your students are ready to take the EOCT in Biology. Great for reviewing for the exam! Remember, they only need to get about half of them right to pass the real test! Each section is broken up into the standards, so you can easily see which are they need the most help in. I have my student take this and then concentrate on the part they need on the study guide. This a must have document to hand out as a review guide for students taking the new AP Biology Exam. It is roughly the 4 big ideas in a print friendly packet. This a review for the Georgia End of Course Test. It was written using the content descriptors(document that tells us what to study for test). Not a stone was left unturned in this 13 page study guide. This has been field tested for many years. Assign a few pages at night and discuss them in class the next day!

This PP is used to introduce basic genetics(including history of Mendel's experiments) to my class. It includes links to the activating strategy that I use, closing questions and a link to my first genetics seatwork/homework. If used correctly this takes up a 100 minute class or two 50 minute classes. As allways with my work, it is colorful, interactive and has a few jokes! Student research evidences of evolution on their own. This activity can be modified by having students present their assigned topic in class and students can use the GO to take notes. However you decide to use it, make the kids do the work and then let them discuss it. Always make the students do the work! We work way too hard! They learn best that way and it makes your day easier!
