One of the most effective strategies of good teaching is getting to know the students. This beginning of the year classroom activity will provide students an opportunity to describe their own experiences with their favorite books. I hold a B.A. in English and an M.Ed. from Arizona State University. I have also taken graduate courses in English Literature at Oxford University in Oxford, England.

My articles, fiction, and poetry have appeared in the English Journal, Mused, Canyon Echo, 101 Words, and Treoir magazine (a publication of Comhaltas, an international organization headquartered in Dublin, Ireland which promotes traditional Irish music and culture).
