I made this journal to use in my science class during our two week unit on weather. Each morning we began by watching the weather forecast for our region and discussing it. Students then charted the forecasted high and low for the day and wrote a few sentences explaining what type of weather we could expect in addition to illustrating it.
Students can color the cover and it includes a place for their name. The observation sheet can simply be copied for as many days as needed.
I use this in my classroom to keep track of who has/has not passed an AR test each day in my classroom. Just print, laminate and add clothespins with students' names.
This word map is a great organizational tool to use when working with new vocabulary words. Students list their word, what their word describes (this could easily be changed to the definition of the word), examples of the word, and synonyms.
