This is a friendly letter to Santa template. This template can be used with younger students who just aren't quite ready for letter writing on their own or when there isn't a lot of time to spare. Students include the following information in their letter to Santa: name, age, something they want for Christmas, why they want it, something they need. The template features a cute font and a small Santa and reindeer students can color.
This number chart can be blown up to poster size or shrank down to fit student learning logs and math journals. It features numbers zero through a billion and comes in handy when students need to know how to write number words.

This sort focuses on three reason's author's write -- to persuade, inform, and entertain. It is a cut and paste activity and has three examples of each type of text. This sort is a great center activity, but could also be used as a formative assessment.

English Language Arts, Informational Text, Reading
This is a decoding cut and paste activity in which students are using the r-controlled phonics/spelling patterns to read words and match the corresponding picture. This matching activity focuses on the -or, -oor, -our, -oar, and -ore phonics/spelling patterns.
This is a booklet that can be used to demonstrate students' ability to count to 1,000. It includes a cover page with I can statement from the Common Core and ten blank hundred chart pages. Each of the hundred chart pages starts with the initial number (i.e. 201) and ends with the final number for that chart (i.e. 300). At the top of each page is an I can statement (i.e. I can count to 300).
This is a spelling test template. It features ten words and two bonus words (twelve total). If this does not suit your needs contact me and I'll be happy to customize. To conserve paper there are two tests templates per page simply print and cut in half.
Three letter sized place value mats: 1 with tens and ones, 1 with hundreds, tens, and ones, and 1 with thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones. They may be used as is, laminated, or placed in plastic page protectors so students can write on them with dry erase markers again and again.
Students cut, sort and paste fraction visual representations (two shapes per fraction), numbers, and words. This sort addresses 1/2 (half), 1/3 (third) and 1/4 (quarter).
This fraction sort is aligned to 2nd Grade Common Core Standard 2.G.3. This number of the day practice sheet addresses 2nd grade Common Core Standards. It can be used any way you see fit, but in my classroom students have these in a clear page protector that they write on daily with dry erase markers. Students write the number in digits, words, circle if it is even or odd, place value, expanded form, draw base ten block representations, round the number to the nearest ten,and practice mental math.

This is a memory matching game. Each sum features two matching cards (example 12+3 and 10+5). Print on cardstock or construction paper and laminate for durability. Students play memory to match problems with equal sums 1-20.

Included in this pack are four sorts focusing on expanded form, standard form and word form. Two of the sorts feature two 2-digit number sorts, while the other two feature 3-digit numbers. I use these for reinforcement in my classroom. Also included is a page to actually do the sort on, however they also fit nicely on a piece of construction paper.
These colorful stars serve as labels for an elementary classroom clock to aid students in telling time. I suggest printing these on card stock and laminating them for durability. Each star can then be taped/glued directly to the outer clock face or on the wall surrounding it. I made this journal to use in my science class during our two week unit on weather. Each morning we began by watching the weather forecast for our region and discussing it. Students then charted the forecasted high and low for the day and wrote a few sentences explaining what type of weather we could expect in addition to illustrating it.
Students can color the cover and it includes a place for their name. The observation sheet can simply be copied for as many days as needed.
This pack features four sets of contraction memory cards and a bonus customizable set. This is great practice with reading contractions and identifying the two words the contraction represents. These cards can serve as sorts in centers, small group, or even independent practice.
This practice sheet focuses on zero the hero (adding zero), doubles, doubles plus one, counting-on, and making a ten. Students will identify the strategy they used to solve and solve each equation.
I use this in my classroom to keep track of who has/has not passed an AR test each day in my classroom. Just print, laminate and add clothespins with students' names.
