I have served as a reading coach/interventionist and most recently a 2nd grade general ed teacher. I am entering my 9th year of teaching. My teaching is constantly evolving.
This is a booklet that can be used to demonstrate students' ability to count to 1,000. It includes a cover page with I can statement from the Common Core and ten blank hundred chart pages. Each of the hundred chart pages starts with the initial number (i.e. 201) and ends with the final number for that chart (i.e. 300). At the top of each page is an I can statement (i.e. I can count to 300).
Three letter sized place value mats: 1 with tens and ones, 1 with hundreds, tens, and ones, and 1 with thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones. They may be used as is, laminated, or placed in plastic page protectors so students can write on them with dry erase markers again and again.
This number of the day practice sheet addresses 2nd grade Common Core Standards. It can be used any way you see fit, but in my classroom students have these in a clear page protector that they write on daily with dry erase markers. Students write the number in digits, words, circle if it is even or odd, place value, expanded form, draw base ten block representations, round the number to the nearest ten,and practice mental math.
This pack offers 12 hundred charts:
- 1 Completed hundreds chart
- 1 Blank hundreds chart
- 2 Skip counting by 2s chart (one complete in color, one incomplete)
- 2 Skip counting by 5s chart (one complete in color, one incomplete)
- 2 Skip counting by 10s chart (one complete in color, one incomplete)
- 1 Complete color even and odd chart
- 1 Complete the odd numbers chart
- 1 Complete the even numbers chart
- 1 Blank even and odd chart to be completed using two colors.
Included in this pack are four sorts focusing on expanded form, standard form and word form. Two of the sorts feature two 2-digit number sorts, while the other two feature 3-digit numbers. I use these for reinforcement in my classroom. Also included is a page to actually do the sort on, however they also fit nicely on a piece of construction paper.
