This quick webquest helps students understand the history of mental illness and how it was treated in the 1930s, assisting with their understanding of Boo Radley.

Students use the selected evidence to decide which is correct in this court case- Ewell or Robinson. It's a great activity to use at the beginning of the unit so students can read to novel to see if they were correct in their first analysis.
After reading or watching A Raisin in the Sun, students should compare characters to each situation suggested in the poem- which characters explode, dry up, or fester?

I prefer to have students read at home and then work in groups and partners to develop analysis and critical thinking skills while we complete author and novel studies.
