About the store

Experience

I spent 20 years being a stay at home, home schooling, mother of 6. Now I have been 10 years in the public school arena. There is a vast difference in those two fields but the desire for student growth and development is the same.

Teaching style

Simplicity is a magical thing. I believe that children learn best when we get out of their way. Then learning can take place for each child in their own unique way..

Awards & shining teacher moments

Graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University

My own education history

I am old school, graduated high school in 1978; I spent my school years abroad in private schools. Decided to teach in my mid 40s and graduated Texas A&M in 2010 at the age of 50. Hooray!!

Additional biographical information

I grew up overseas and have been blessed with very diverse teaching opportunities throughout my life; caring for, mentoring, fostering and teaching children and adults (all ages). I feel it is a natural extension of myself, I love to learn and grow and I like to share what I know and be challenged to learn more. I now live and teach abroad (a dream come true) and I teach science primarily.
