About the store
I have been a teacher for more than 10 years and have two children of my own (which has made me an even better teacher!). I especially love challenging GATE students and creating fun and exciting lessons that can really access higher learning. I have taught grades 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6th. I especially love teaching reading and writing since these were areas that challenged me most a child learner myself!

I have changed my previous charts to be simple and more economically (and environmentally) friendly. These posters can be used with the Bridges® Math Number Corner for all grade levels for the Record Sheets portion. The posters all show which months/grades they can be used for at the bottom and the headings for each column can be written at the top. You can send this PDF to your local print shop and ask for it to be printed on Arch D paper (size 24 x 36). They can also be printed on regular pr

Students will find parts of 100 using printable large ovens- print on legal size paper and you can increase the size to 11x14 at your local print shop for large work-mats (I like to laminate them and use them multiple times), cookie trays and counters, and finish off with a partner worksheet. This is a fun way for students to find parts of 100 and even can have a little treat when they are finished by eating their counters. I found 4D printable ovens off of Etsy that I used for my lesson. Fun ice cream cone glyphs for the first week of school! Students will color 3 scoops, a cone, and either a cherry or strawberry (according to the legend). Students will then cut and glue in that order. I suggest having them glue the instruction legend to the back of their background paper (I use large black construction paper) and writing their names in white crayon on the front.

This is a complete lesson with NGSS, Common Core Standards, and Mathematical Practices included. This lesson comes with time frames, extra resources and websites to print additional resources, materials list, and objectives. This is a great lesson with hands-on activities, fast finisher options, whole group reading and independent reading, group activity, writing activity, and best of all is that it's integrated science, math, and ELA.

A fun little math activity where students solve multiplication problems and color leaves with the corresponding colors in the key. A great homework, fast finisher, or bell work page.

Experience

I have been a teacher for more than 10 years and have two children of my own (which has made me an even better teacher!). I especially love challenging GATE students and creating fun and exciting lessons that can really access higher learning. I have taught grades 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6th. Teaching style

I thrive on hands on fun activities for children. I love centers and have even had great experience teaching centers for upper elementary students. I feel like it is important to be current and relevant with students. If they need to be silly in their writing and it encourages them to write... so be it! Bring on the silliness (watching the appropriate factor too!).

My own education history

I graduated from the University of Oregon with my degree in Educational Studies. I also received my teaching credential and masters degree in Educational Leadership. I have continued my education since then taking workshops that help broaden my world as a teacher.
