About the store
After working as a Speech Language Pathologist for six years, I’ve gained valuable insights into effective preschool and elementary aged instruction by creating useful, time-saving resources. I love working in Special Education. I specialize in working with students with severe disabilities and autism. I’ve found hands-on activities are highly-engaging & motivational for students of all kinds. As a mother of three, I’ve also created engaging and motivational resources for homeschooling my preschoolers. I had the privilege of living in Mexico City, Mexico for a year and a half where I learned to understand, speak, read and write in Spanish. I enjoy incorporating Spanish into my speech therapy and teaching lessons.

Teaching style

I specialize in working in special education as a Speech Language Pathologist with students who have severe disabilities and autism. I understand early elementary, preschool, and homeschooling needs which require fun, play, and movement incorporated into their activities to keep children invested in their learning. Visual aids and hands-on activities are vital to engage students through traditional education or homeschool. I enjoy finding ways to motivate students to learn with resources which save time for educators while also meeting educational goals found in the Common Core Standards. Learning should be fun and enriching for students as well as easy-to-implement timesavers for teachers and parents. Whether through homeschool, preschool, young elementary, or special education, you will be sure to find what you’re looking for in my shop.

My own education history

-Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Utah State University -Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education -Certificate of Clinical Competence through ASHA -Hands on experience teaching special education in schools with a focus on severe disabilities and autism

Additional biographical information

As a mom, I value spending quality time outdoors, playing games, and engaging in educational pretend play with my three children. I enjoy making time-saving resources in order to spend more time putting together puzzles, reading, and eating delicious food my husband makes.
