Students will get to practice subtracting two numbers using candy corn as manipulatives. The candy corns are position upside down to remind students that the bigger number must go first. There is a blank side to allow student to write their own problems. Perfect activity for Fall or Halloween.

Fly swatters (2-3, depending on number of teams or students)

Cut/Laminate/Separate the hearts and envelopes. The envelopes with the numbers are so students can keep track of what numbers go with which family. I glued the envelope on the colored envelopes that I was using to organize the families.
