Have students reflect on the definition of quadrilaterals through this semantic organizer. First, students look at what the characteristics of each type of quadrilaterals are. Then students reflect is a square a rhombus or a rhombus a square. What truly makes up the definitions of these quadrilaterals?

I teach using inquiry based methods. I hope to have my students construct their own knowledge. As students construct knowledge, they have a better and deeper understanding of that knowledge.
