About the store

Experience

I have taught Honors and Standard Algebra, Honors and Standard Geometry, and Pre-Algebra (8th Grade Math). I have also taught an intervention math class and been a personal tutor.

Teaching style

Collaboration is my mantra. In learning math, groups and partners are so important! Using content specific language and teaching others are exceptional ways to deepen learning and use higher order thinking skills. Games, group projects, and partner activities are my forte.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I received the "Top 10 Student Teacher Award" given to only 10 students from CWU. I was also a Deans Scholar which was awarded to the top 6% of the College.

My own education history

Most of my education (and life!) has been in the Seattle area. (I even met my husband in high school!) I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Minor in Middle Level Mathematics from CWU.

Additional biographical information

Along with a love for teaching and math, Stephanie loves volleyball. She played college volleyball and is currently the head coach of an 8th grade team. She married her husband, Ryan, in 2014 and loves being a mom to her son Logan.
