This activity is great and a fine motor activity or for kiddos still mastering the skill of cutting and sticking. Simply print a pancake template for each child and a few of the 'eyes, noses and mouths'. It's such a simple activity but my students got a real kick out of how funny their pancake faces turned out. I did this activity during Aistear time (Ireland) as part of the arts and crafts station when we did 'The Bakery' theme. This is also a great extension activity when learning about/celebr
My students all love doing this activity. I get red, pink, purple, white coloured paper and let them rip off little pieces and then stick them into the love heart in the middle of the page. It's always a real novelty for them to rip up paper!! It is such an easy, low prep art activity for Valentines Day and the result is so cute. I hope you enjoy doing it with your class! A little tip.. print this template onto white card instead of normal paper so that it can withstand the glue!
I use these in my classroom in two ways; 1. I print this resource on A3 paper, laminate them, cut them out and use these as part of my display on my Gaeilge board. 2. I print them on A4 paper, cut them out and use them as flash cards in small groups during Gaeilge lessons. I play games such as 'Tabhair dom an capall'. My kids love the pictures and all the vocabulary used has been learnt in previous lessons so this helps.

These resources relate to the SPHE curriculum within the strand of Myself and Others and the strand unit of My friends and other people. Friendship is an important area of discussion and learning especially in the younger classes where friendships change like the wind! I use this PowerPoint presentation to initially engage the pupils in conversation about friendship and the qualities they look for in a friend or 'what makes a good friend?'. The worksheet activity then is a way of really emphasi
Loud and Soft Sounds Worksheet I used this worksheet with my students to show the difference between loud and soft sounds. This covers Recognising and showing the difference between loud and soft sounds from the Listening and responding to music strand. I found these sounds easily on YouTube to play and the children had to colour in the picture red if they thought it was a loud sound and green if it was a soft sound. They loved it and got so excited at some of the sounds.

This pre-test can help year 3 students identify areas that they may need to work on. I have included an answer key and a marking system that highlights topics that students need more practice with.
These cards relate to the strand Myself and others under the My friends and other people stand unit. I used these cards alongside a SPHE lesson where we were talking about bullying behaviour. These cards can be used after discussing 'what to do if you are being bullied or witness bullying' with the pupils. I give out one card to a group of 3/4 pupils. They have to read the card and talk about what they would do in that situation. They come up with ideas about how best to respond in that situat
Irish mammals - bat, squirrel, fox, deer This is a really engaging activity that my students loved. They wrote different facts about a chosen mammal we had read about without naming the animal. They named the animal down at the bottom of their page and covered it with a post it note. They then read out their 'clues' and their peers had to guess what Irish mammal they were talking about :)

A worksheet that encourages students to distinguish between different feelings as Gaeilge. I accompany this bileog oibre at the end of my mothucáin lesson and it's a great way for students to use the new vocabulary and draw their attention to the spelling!
Postman Pat Theme Song Worksheet This activity covers the Listening and responding to music strand which allows pupils to Talk about pieces of music, giving preferences, and illustrate responses in a variety of ways. My students really enjoyed this activity. We were learning about 'People at Work' this week. I played the Postman Pat theme song on the IWB and the pupils had to listen and respond to it using this worksheet.
