This smartboard lesson starts off with a warm up involving basic problems dealing with perfect squares and square roots. It then deals with real world applications of perfect squares and square roots in 5 different word problems. These questions are similar to questions that may appear on their end of year standardized tests.
This worksheet starts off with a practice of graphing basic inequalities. There are examples of each type of inequality, some written with the variable on the right. The worksheet moves on to solving one-step inequalities and graphing the solution on a number line. The problems are a mix of various difficulty including multiplying and dividing by a negative number to "flip" the sign.

I Have...Who has is a great tool to use as a warm-up or informal assessment to measure how well your students understand solving multi-step equations. It can be used in variety of ways. For example, sometimes I will have students get into the correct order without talking. Other times, I will have the students say, "Who has....." and make all students perform the calculations and whoever has the answer says, "I have.....Who has...." and so on.
