Stuttering Advice for Adults - reflection

Created by

This is a tool that can be used with older fluency clients. It provides the link to a video from "The Stuttering Foundation" along with discussion questions to take a deeper look at stuttering. It can be used in therapy or be sent home as homework. A really great resource to facilitate discussion early on and to help the client get to know the goal of therapy a little more personally.

Ever wondered how to explain to a parent or a child how to produce certain speech sounds? This cheat sheet is for you. This is just a small list of MANY different strategies that you can use - this resource is simply some ideas that I have found to work to get you started. A great editable option to give to a parent at the end of the year, during an IEP, or at the beginning of the year for home practice. ENJOY :)

Experience

Teaching style

My favorite therapy style? I love picking a theme based on a book and targeting speech sound and literacy skills that follow that theme. It makes sessions easy as lesson prep is done in advance and you can just grab and go during the session.
