This is an editable spelling practice paper you can use during workshop, centers, or homework. It contains the pattern, objective, and the words. Students choose 3 of the activities in the boxes for their assignment. This gives students freedom and choice, catering to their learning styles.

The Read and Respond homework includes Mon.-Fri. and then one day of reading for Sat./Sun. so students get one day off a week from reading. This is what the directions say, but you can change them to fit your preferences. "Homework: Read at least 30 minutes each day from a chapter book or classroom hand out. Then, write the main idea and 3 details using complete sentences. This is due the following Monday. Happy Reading!" I hand it out Monday and collect it the following Monday.
