Fun Math! Print and use this mat to introduce addition of three numbers. Allow students to use manipulatives on top of the mat to help them create a number sentence. Place these mats into plastic sheet protectors and allow students to use dry erase markers. This Fun Math Addition Mat not only makes math fun, but also provides an opportunity for your students to grasp the understanding of addition as they manipulate concrete objects on top of this mat. Place each mat into a plastic sheet protector and allow students to manipulate objects on top of the mat. Ask students to place a certain number of objects in each of the addend places. Print one mat for each student and use this fun math activity to introduce addition using ten frames. Allow students to place two different objects into each ten frame, then manipulate the objects to fill up one complete ten frame, and determine the sum. Placing these mats into sheet protectors will allow students to write their number sentences, erase, and repeat this activity multiple times.
