This is a great way to implement STEAM into your Math curriculum. I use this activity when I am working on my Interpreting Data Unit. Students will be creating a circuit and will test a total of 10 items. they will check off if they are conductors or insulators. Then, they will represent the data through a pie graph. You can also have students create pie graphs on Numbers or Excel to add a bit of technology to it too!

I use this activity during my Interpreting Data Unit. Students will be working with partners and will be flipping a penny 100 times and recording the data in tallies. Then, they will be spinning a penny 100 times and recording the data in tallies. Once all the data is collected, students will be creating TWO bar graphs to represent their data. Feel free to try out a double bar graph for kids who could understand/use a key to represent flipping vs. spinning bars. Fun Fact: Spinning, rather tha
