About the store
This is my second year teaching 5th grade as well as my second career. My previous 10 year career was in physical therapy and I absolutely loved every second of it but I've always had a passion to teach!!! I love the challenge that teaching brings! We, as educators, are always coming up with new and engaging curriculum/activities that will be most effective at teaching the standards. We also get to decipher how to challenge these young, diverse minds within our classroom so every student can learn at high levels. It can be exhausting at times but mostly rewarding!!!

My teaching style includes hands-on, engaging activities as well as technology based curriculum and formatives that will provide immediate feedback which drives my instruction.

I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors University.
Additional biographical information
My husband is also in education where he spent his first 5 years teaching 7th grade science. For the last 5 years and currently he is our school district's Secondary Gifted Educator. When we are not in the classroom you can find us on the soccer field! We have 2 sons that play soccer year round which has provided opportunities to travel all over the United States to watch them play! We are a family that loves to be together and having careers in education has allowed us to optimize our family time as much as possible! We get to pour into our kids as well as our students! What a blessing!!!
