For every unit, my students receive this list to insert our class roster -- they must talk to everyone in class, or at least 20/30+ or so. Then, an assessment can be open-ended: "Compare your ____ to another classmate's _____," in Spanish, etc. The assessment reflects their thinking, their learning, and their interactions w/ others, not a scripted answer that I'm expecting. Instead of giving my students lists of vocabulary words, I've opted to give them all of the Quizlet.com information for our class, in one place. The screen shots are customized to the current unit, and everything is editable. There is a screenshot for reference as to what the final product looks like (that my students receive) in case the fonts come out wonky or sizing is weird via Word document. It's an easy fix for your preferences!
