About the store
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - I have been in the field of ABA for 6 years, and my experience extends from being on special education teams in elementary schools to my current position of clinical supervisor at an organization providing clinic and in-home services, as well as consulting for a local school district. I also have two children of my own, whom I school during the summers at home to keep their minds sharp! Both of my children has ADHD, so I have had to learn to adapt my teaching style to suit the moment.

Complaint Form (Decrease Tattling)

A great--and entertaining--solution to tattling. Instead of coming to you to tattle on a sibling or peer, the child is directed to fill out a complaint. You can set up a receptacle (complaint box of some sort) in a heavy traffic area for them to put their completed forms. This activity is effective in many ways. It encourages the child to really think about what he or she is about to tell you, it offers opportunities for writing practice, and it just might decrease the frequency of tattling

ABC Behavior Reflection

This sheet is a great tool to use for older students (probably 5th grande and older) to help them try to better understand their behavior. It includes optional-use overcorrection sheets, in which the student then writes out a future plan statement as many times as the instructor deems appropriate (if at all.)

Teaching style

I am a firm believer that there's nothing a little visual can't teach! I love creating visual aids to help learners generalize skills. There's so much creativity in making learning accessible!

My own education history

M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology

Additional biographical information

When I'm not "behavioring" or creating curricula, I'm usually listening to an audiobook, hanging out with my family, crafting, or gardening. I also love to watch movies!
