Hi! My name is Kevan Ottochian. I am a legacy constructivist educator. I have 16 years of experience teaching high school and middle school history. I have taught Global History (9th grade), US History (7th and 8th grades), Economics (12th grade), Government (12th grade) and Government/Criminal Justice (12th grade) courses. Hi! My name is Kevan Ottochian. I am a legacy constructivist educator. I have 16 years of experience teaching high school and middle school history. I have taught Global History (9th grade), US History (7th and 8th grades), Economics (12th grade), Government (12th grade) and Government/Criminal Justice (12th grade) courses. I have presented at numerous conferences and conduct numerous workshops in the development of Common Core lessons.

Teaching style

Throughout my career, I have utilized a variety of teaching styles to meet students needs. It has been my goal to bring my passion to every lesson to create a great experience for all students. I continuously reflect on how to use primary documents, technology, scholarly articles, and other materials. I organize all of my courses through a thematic approach that focuses on the cultivation of sophisticated thinking skills. All lessons are designed with the perspective of how holding students accountable but going beyond information in the textbook.
