About the store
I celebrate several years as a music educator and organist. My career began as a volunteer for Project Literacy and led to subsequent employment at the middle school level where I taught keyboard, recorder, general and choral music classes. For approximately ten years, I have had assignments at the elementary level where I have met the needs of rural and urban students by creating cross curricular lesson plans that enhance social science, language arts, math and science.

I hold baccalaureate and graduate degrees in music and education (curriculum and instruction),respectively and trained extensively in the Core Knowledge and the Montessori curricula. My instruction is based upon the Virginia Standard of Learning Objectives which assess music literacy, performance, historical and cultural context, analysis and aesthetics.
