This lesson is a 3-5 day introduction to the genre of Realistic Fiction. Lesson includes smart board lesson, graphic organizers, independent reading bookmarks, book and video suggestions.

Students can make an academic goal ( read 2 books, learn my 6x table) and a personal learning goal ( Raising there hand to speak, keeping their desk organized,etc) each month. Students can reflect at the end of the month as to their progress and keep track of the goals they have achieved throughout the year. Students love looking over the goals they set at the beginning of the year in June. Great Morning meeting activity for the beginning of each month.
