Experience

I have taught elementary, middle, and high school in both public and private settings. My core subject in secondary education is mathematics, specializing in Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus. In elementary, I have taught specialized scholar/gifted pull-out programs in both mathematics and language arts.

Teaching style

I believe in a blend of conceptual understanding and regular practice. If students understand the how and why behind a concept, they will become independent learners and make connections between material. However, some concept based curriculum does not provide enough practice on each concept for the students to become expert learners.
