Junior High Gifted & Talented Make Your Own Escape Room Project

Framework for students to make a backstory, three paper puzzles, and a solution story for a topic of interest for an escape room. Aligns with National Association for Gifted Children Standard: 1.5 Cognitive, Psychosocial, and Affective Growth. Students demonstrate cognitive growth and psychosocial skills that support their talent development with challenging learning activities.

I am a big fan of using the Gradual Release of Responsibility.

I love the excitement that comes with junior high while also love the autonomy to create fun units and projects.

My own education history

I got my Masters in Curriculum & Instruction: Emphasis on Gifted and Talented Ed in 2023. I just finished my Master's +15 coursework and am taking a few months off before I go for my +30 coursework next summer.
